This is an adaptation from the "Grid Method" Presentation I attended at NSTA in December 2016. The website for the "Grid Method" is http://www.thegridmethod.com/ and I adapted his ideas at the middle school level to the high school, where we have to have definite deadlines. I tried this for the physics unit on waves and will share the good, the bad and the ugly so that anyone ready to take the plunge into personalized learning can be made aware of the challenges and rewards that they can expect and maybe be mentally prepared for the unexpected, because we are teaching teens, barely teens and preteens and they can be very unpredictable.
